are all bigblocks domed pistons or was that one built a little? No not all bigblocks have domed pistons. My 502 pistons are flat top and the old 454 pistons were dished. I have seen alot of domed pistons in BBC's though. It is a shame it let go. The motor did have a funny noise when you started the day. Ya it had funny noises the whole time I ran it. (about 6 runs)

I got the motor ready to drop in and am just waiting for the motor mounts to come. They shipped yesterday. I now have to figure out how I am going to trailer it. I lost my job and the trailer was from work. I have a new job already, but at a lower wage. There is no trailer at this job to borrow either. The suburban is so big that you can't haul it on just any trailer... I hope I don't have to leave it parked untill I can aford to buy a trailer...

I started bolting in the motor tonight. Bolted up the motor mounts, bellhousing, torque converter and the starter. Then it was time to go home. I hope to get to it and finish it up on Sat. Realized that the oil filter adapter was not there tonigt, too. So I need to get that, some oil and a fan spacer.
