Cant we do a winch point like Can opener has? Dig big hole, stick in I-Beam, fill with concrete This is what ODF would like us to do. But I'm not sure how far we could dig down to get an I-beam sunk in. Lot of rock layer at the top.

So Renee & me were up at TSF Sunday for a "Mock Rescue" with Trail Patrol and after went up to 7-UP Trail on the green side and moved a little bit of dirt into the holes that where there. Side of the trail dirt was pretty easy to knock down into the holes. The hole on the blue side is looking good. We didn't do anything to it but move a few rocks out of the way.

I seem to remember them saying something about, if we do a winch point we have to get engineers involved because odf is responsible if anything happens to anyone because of the winch point failing.

That's pretty much right. There is a tree on the right top of the rock face of the triple diamond side that is a good winch point tree. Renee & me clear the lower branches last Fall for easy access to it.

So with the switching of Trail Rated Signs that someone did, I was thinking that maybe we should paint the post with colors to match the trails. Green, Blue, and Black, so if someone steals the signs or swiches them, someone can still ID the Trail with the post. I'll send Jahmaal an Email and ask if that is ok. At least it's something.

I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to get up there and get that stuff done. I may have to leave that for someone else to do.

Talked with Jahmaal today, he told us to figure out what type of bypass, we'd like to have @ the top of the XXX side and where.. he said they could get the boulders up there for us.. Thinking, right between the trees here would be best. No where they could cut a bypass.

A couple large boulders on both sides of the trail and then a 15-20' length of boulders in the trail. If you can drive over the boulders you should be able to finish the trail just fine.
