we talking at the top where there is alot of old campfires sitting there.. and a few new ones... You figure people would be smart enough not to camp up there.. But yeah a rock filter would help or a couple well spread ones... so no one has a good area to camp..

Camping at the top at the intersection is a nice area. driving down the 3 diamond and tearing up the area off trail is not good.

I got the day-lighting done down to the first water-bar from the top on the green trail. Will need to cut back the ground brush before it grows into the trail. Looks like a good "Work Party" project . Renee did some trash pick-up at the top and removed the fire pit on the triple diamond.

These 2 need props...
The area looks great up there! Went up the med. side and the only work needed is above the rock face.... (drainage)

Well from the looks of it, the idea of putting a winch point in the tree at the top of the rock face on 7-UP is getting shot down. Since the trees are one of the main money makers for ODF, they are saying they don't want anything done to the trees. I may have to see if I can get the logging companies to back me on the idea.

Got 3 new blank Trail Sponsor Signs, so we will have extras to put up as needed. Haven't been able to get up to 7-UP in the last 2 weeks do to deep snow.

How deep of snow are you talking? Deep enough to be fun? ;D Yep...was about 18" at the top of the second leg of Firebreak Five, and there was a group of snow mobilers running up C-Line Road from Lyda Road. ODOT had run a snow plow through C-Line Road.

I got an idea for a filter at the top of the triple black diamond side trail. ODOT told ODF that they could have the Jersey Barriers at the Sand Shed, and I'm thinking we could lay some of those down flat at the top to keep the daily driver rigs out. Not sure how wide they are, I'll take a closer look at them this saturday. But we could lay them down with the bottoms bumped together to make like a big speed bump, maybe do two in a row.

They were supposed to haul up some big boulders for the bottom and bury them a little so they don't roll. The very top of the trail was supposed to get a small boulder filter like can opener. Just didn't want to filter it untill all repairs along that trail were done. Have a bit of an issue I think getting equepment thru there.

I forgot to measure the Jersey Barriers, but was told they are 12' long and very heavy. Pick ups may not be able to haul them? As far as getting small boulders to the top, other clubs said they had to remove the water bars to get equipment up, and then rebuild the water bars after they came back down. Some of the clubs have owners of large heavy equipment in their clubs. We should be able to haul small boulders in pick ups to the top for the crawl over filter.
