well I put it in a vice and sawzalled it, only took like 5 minutes to cut one half, and a few more minutes cleaning it up with some 50 grit. id say 20 minutes to do the pair so far. I had fun tonight throwing some of the shavings in the fire place

started to fit the 63s out back tonight moved the spring mount back 6 inches, I also got to move the front mount forward 6 inches witch should be interesting it will be vary close to the body mount. I think that I'm just going to do what I did to my short bed or at least cut off the lower out side piece and use some new material and make a new over the top out side piece. I have full intentions of buying a shackle flip but this will have to do for now.(boy that looks crappy what was I thinking)

Just cut a front hanger from a rear spring off of a frame and use those, should work good.

one of these days I'll charge the batteries in my good camera, got the front mounts cut off my short bed frame. These things locate the spring perfect except for I'm going to put a 2 inch block in to lower it a little. trying to get about a 6 inch lift total. I was going to put a receiver hitch on but I don't want all the complications of sandwiching all that metal together under the frame. so maybe Ill just weld a piece of square tube between the frame rails since I'm not going to use the stock bumper. hay josh where did you get thoughts shackles from?

Shackles are from www.diy4x.comYou should be able to get 4" from a shackle flip, 1.5" from a 7" long shackle and throw a zero rate in there for an extra 1"

I would recomend the cross tied shakles from diy4x. I have them on my k5 with blackwidow perfomance shakle flip brackets. they look real beefy

took a pic with the good camera ;D got the mount done as u can see I removed the rear part of the bracket and use the original one. now I can access the shackle bolt easy on the back side. welded a 1 1/2 inch block to the bracket to give me the height I want. drilled where the original rivets went through the bracket and use some 2 inch bolts. by using this bracket it dose not interfere with the body mount hole, so I can actually get a bolt in there. I know I got to fix where the holes for the body mounts go's, other than that the frame is pretty solid..... oh boy! now I got to do the other side, im getting pritty good at removing rivets
