that sucks... i guess location has a bunch to do with that... I actually bought mine off pirate from a guy in colorado who bought an atlas. Its completly rebuilt with 32 spliners front and rear and ebrake kit which runs 300+ he had been trying to sell it to pay for his new t-case and I have it now for about 600 pushing my jeep down the road, Im pretty happy with the deal i got...
I gotta tell you it was pretty swweet to drive it in 2wd low... It was a royal pita to design shifters from scratch but now that its done I couldnt be happier, especially since im locked front and rear and now when Iwheel I can keep it in 2wd low rear and put the front in when I need it. Which out here is a big deal since the trails are so tight with trees sometimes being locked up front can be a pain.

bend up. just like their sutting in the pic. in the pics it looks like the tubes are welded up high but the center of the tube is actually center of the plate...

Hopefully soon! I am committed to getting my buddies rig going so we can make our maiden voyages together since I talked him into doing 1 tons doublers and diy beadlocks ect ect. We got his rig driving yesterday and took it and had the exhaust put on so hopefully late october or early november we will be breaking things again!

well I got up early this morning before school and mounted up the rear bumper and I couldnt be happer... My hands are to big to get the nuts on the bolts behind the fuel tank but the bumper will be held on by 8 .5in g8 bolts, has two 18k rated d rings and a reciever to pull my camping trailer... I have the sliders painted up already and will be mounting them tomorrow after class and will have pics up over the weekend. I also finally blacked out the rear wheel wells and i think it looks way better! first time its had a rear bumper on it since I bought it! LOL

well the jeep is back on jackstands. for those of you who know a driveshaft through the floor totaled the jeep. I bought it back and its getting some changes. only a few cosmetic and a few d-train. Today I swapped in an xj auto tranny got it all in just have to wire and plumb, got the t-case back in freshly rebuilt with lomax 4:1 gears. and finally finnished up the belly plate with some counter sunk bolts. Next week I am ordering some new rubbers and going to strip the interior and have the tub linex lined. I also will be swapingthe passenger seat out with a race seat to match the drivers... never imagined doing an auto swap but things are going really really well so far.. it took about 5 hours today to put in the new tranny, seal up the t-case, mount it in there. and undo a bunch of the damage from the accident including rebuilding the rear driveshaft... all in all a good day. Thought I was done with the old jackstand for a bit but guess not..
