We drove for over a hour to a diff junk yard and I found and got a good pair of seats, front corner light, and the spare tire cover so I can pull the ply wood out of the back. On the same car I found a perfect set of doors and a fender that I need, it'll save me alot of body work and having to fix the hinges. I also picked up a paint gun today and some supplies so I can get this thing into primer so when I find a color I like I can spray it on.

I didn't know what color I wanted to paint the car so I asked my wife her favorite colors ( I knew what they are) and picked one of her colors so I am going to paint it green and to keep from being dull proly silver on the belt line down with maybe some green pearl in the silver. So far so good, she hasn't complained thus far about the car though she might when she finds out how much the trw forged pistons are. Picking her colors kinda takes her mind off what I'm doing under the hood..................................

I got a little wire feed today, a new sawzall and a new jig saw, a miller occ auto darkening hood, some leathers, a ton of bits, couple extension cords, and some various other stuff for 250$ The welder is a little lincoln weld pak 100 hd so can't exactly build any bumpers but it'll work for the sheet metal work I need to do on the car instead of useing my room mates stick welder....... that didn't go well trying to weld my floor back together. All that stuff I got from a lady who was getting rid of the welding part of her business, had I called a week or two earlier she gave away a brand new hobart with the tank, could've had two welders From the store picked up some painting supplies so I think I'm set on getting the body hammered out and in velvet minus two doors and a fender.

Yah, took the spiked end of my body hammer to it. I ground most of it out this afternoon, I'm thinking about getting a rear section of quarter panel and welding it in. It looks like it got stuffed in that corner, the light was bolted on and that is way too much of a gap.

Yah I know had to push the rear panel back half a inch or so and the quarter had to come out a half inch. It was easier to cut the panel out and do what I need to do with hammers, dont have a unispotter yet. I have the panel back on now almost done welding and started grinding, a little mud and I'll shoot some primer over it.

I've been looking at intakes and I think this is the one I wanna get, heard mixed reactions but I think it looks pretty mean. It also allows me room to grow if I want. Its this or the trick flow intake that runs up to 6.5 on the power band.

Got most the dash back in. I have about 8" of tack welds left to finish the hole I cut out of the quarter panel. I'll probably finish it this weekend and get some primer on it. post some pics when it's done...........

The corner is pretty close now, I think I might have to do some grinding to make the lines fit with the hatch which is better than not having enough. Overall it's coming out ok, not great but not bad being the limited tools I have. A uni-spotter would have been a great tool to have, wouldn't have cut out the panel if I had one of those. I had to add a half inch to the original panel to make it fit again and still have some hammering to do. I'd do it today but I have duty and I'm on a break, so I think I wanna try to nap rather than work..............................
