Sooooo, its been a long time since ive updated this. Thats because on the trip pictured above i destroyed my engine. Broke a piston rod cap in half and seized the engine. So i bought a new to me engine that looked in good shape from what looked to me like a good guy, nice house and family. Did the swap, got it running.
The engine had a knock.
one idea bounced off another and i got a rebuilt long block from oregon engine rebuilders. Which just got bolted in tonight. so just some manifolds and acessories to do do and we will see if i might have a reliable rig. ill post pictures to prove everything latter, tonight is for celebrating.

good thing you never got that motor from me
i pulled it apart to fix it and it was not a blown head gasket the block was cracked.

nothing wrong the the intake per say, but if i was replacing everything anyway, i had it chemical washed and some fresh paint. I wanted to clean or replace everything i could while i was putting it together, thats part of the reason it took me so long to get together. I even cleaned the bolts/threads if i reused them.
I took out the A/C because the 2nd engine had the idle pully, and i was going to install a york, but now i will probably put a second alternator there.
