The guy that sold the trailer to me showed me some stuff on maintaining the axles. I think it will work fine. for now. Hell of a start for $400 bucks I think For that price, you could go here www.trailerpart.com/52ktraileraxle.htm for less then $600 get 2 5200lb axles and electric brakes for it. I would have bought it for $400, and have enough money to upgrade stuff. Thanks for the link, makes it easy when I get the info before I ask for it. Good looking out thanks I like the trailer it self and it is built like a tank, but I agree different axles would be nice. $$$$$ But I think I have a good starting point and I should be able to get a few trips out of these axles for now. I do need to put some lights on it and license it still, but works for now. Now I need to start working on the Suburban and get this 1/2ton stuff out and get some bigger in there. I am afraid of this 10 bolt in the rear coming apart on me. I dont think it will handle all that weight and it only takes a little gas at the wrong time to screw up a good day

Have you looked into the hub change on the mobile home axles. Then you have good axles for life.. Otherwise check those bolts often.. Very often..
