well technically the one that bolts on goes to the battery stud on the starter but mine goes straight to the battery.

alright, I got that one down, I got the wire that kicks over the starter. I think I got the red wire that plugs into the alternator. now the black wire the plugs into the alternator goes into the firewall on my blazer. that a ground?

ok on the older style alts. the big wire went to the starter hot post. term 2 went to batt hot either to starter or to battery just needs to sense the battery voltage. term 1 went to a relay that when energized it would turn off the idiot light in the dash. if you have a newer alt it may be labeled I and F.

alright, and the distubitor is just a positive when the key is turn in the run position right? Then the wiring should be done as far as making the truck run, then I can figure out the temp and other gages after I get the rest in place and ready to run. My Temp gage is going to be a must though. Probably going to run hot, but I will try and keep it down.
