in my 85 yota, I just pulled my 22r w/ dual side draft webers 5 speed tranny with dual t-cases. I have measured out the motor mounts, and tranny crossmembers and will start moching up the 350/350np203 swap. I tried to get my truck going but with my compression reading 90psi 60psi 60psi and 90psi, I figured the motor was due to be pulled anyways. I have an extra set of drive train from a 3/4 blazer, start swapping it over with motor and tranny first. Then I am going to put my 4.55 3/4 ton running gear in, but the front is going to be a little tricky. It already has cross over steering, but I just need to get some knuckles for my d44.

as soon as i get my car finished....... that is, whenever the rest of the parts get here and i can get the engine to the machine shop ....... the rear main seal needs replaced in the Grand. so i figure since i have to pull a bunch of shiiiiat to do that, i'm just gonna yank the engine out and build a 4.6L stroker for it. that should give it a little more grump to haul the quads up and down the hills. after that, either save my pennies and get a long arm kit and about 6" of lift with 35's or just fab up my own. Leaning towards the fab up my own idea. just seems more fun! and while i'm out trying to break the axle shafts in the dinky D30/D35 combo i'll be looking for some full width axles to toss under that biatch. sooooooo much stuff to do, yet so little money

Well, I just got a really good deal on some 18/39.5r15 boggers, so thats what I am going to run on my toyota. So now I am going to have to get a d60 for the front and I am thinking maybe 4 link the front and 62" the rear. Tomorrow I am going to buy the headers I need and buy a radiator from a v8 monte carlo.

I need to find someone to build me a stabilizer .. track bar for my front axle so it doesn't shift from left to right or shimmy if i hit a bump at about 30 mph... weld blocks in my shackles for extra stability. and some other random stuff.

Hey I appreciate the offer. I know it's the front track bar because.....it doesn't have one. The stabilizer bar that drops down from the driver's side frame to the axle on the passenger side. So when I hit bumps at slow speeds my whole axle can actually articulate and it feels like i have 4 wheel steering I'd drive up there if I could in a heart beat bud. I just dont have the gas and with how the front end is. This is definitly not a highway vehicle.

just looking at the pics it looks like you have maybe 8" springs on drop brackets? I wouldnt think the axle would move left ot right too much but then I've never driven your truck. The crossover steering has some severe angle on it but I cant see the ends in your pics. hope ya get it figured out in time for the mud drags.

10" spring lift in the front with a raise of about 6-7 more inches in the shackle mounts.. The axle moves left and right because the rear shackles on the front and rear need support. they're just two trips of steel... it's 2 pieces instead of one big solid piece.

Well, I just got my headers in my toyota, it was a pain in the ass. I thought it was going to be hard to get the passanger side on because of the starter on that side of the block, but they went right on with out a fight. The driverside was a pain in the ass, I had to smash a brand new set of headers and had to cut part of the flange off to make it bolt on. but now I need some help. I have to wire up the motor. + to starter, and the main wire to the fuse box to the starter. Then the wire to start the motor to the post on the solenoid. Now I need a power to the coil, and alternator wires. for the 3 wires on the alternator, one goes to the starter I think, but what one and where do the other 2 go.
