Pete stopped by last night and let me know I ruined my Ring and Pinion on the 8.8 (ugh)...
He also found my e-brake pads are cracked and almost wore out so while Lenorad has it apart, I'm going to have him change those as well.
I also asked him to pull my T-case and reseal it. I guess it's only $$ I'm hoping nothing else is wrong with it. It shifted fine but I don't know why it just started leaking...
With all the tires hanging, Pete noticed my front track bar is binding pretty bad. I just put a new hyme in it and I guess it doesn't have enough space between that and the bracket. I'll go by tonight and give it a look and see if I can get a spacer for it.
I still have alot to do to the jeep before the trip, plus my boss issues, and now this!! Wife is not happy either after discussing how much this will cost us... Chances on me going in the Oregon trip are looking pretty bad..

Well... I got the jeep back tonight. It runs and drives again, but it cost a couple bills more then what I was quoted...
I still need to do some work to wheel it. It still needs a brake line and it needs the front pan hard bar mis alignment spacers so it will not bind, plus the bushing on the other end need replaced, and the draglink and steering bars need replaced.

He didn't do any extra work to it above what he quoted me, but it all looks ligit. They did itimise down and even said they cut me a deal on some labor and I know he does great quality work.

They also told me I was lucky I had them reseal the T-case. It seems I put to much silicon on it when I put in the slip yoak and the silicon cloged up the oil pump. No damage had been done and the inside of the T-case still looked new.
I also got lucky that the rear end didn't eat up the ARB or any of the bearings when the ring gear broke. I still don't understand why it broke.

Quit spending money on those axles and get something that can hold up, LOL. Glad you got it fixed though and back on the road.

When I drove it in to the shop I really didn't think it was the rear axle, or I would have pulled the cover off, seen the damage and left it alone until I could afford the bigger axles for it. Well at least this way I can drive it for a while longer...

Even thought the jeep it fixed and drive-able. I have not been driving the POS.. I haven't even touched it since getting it back from the shop. I still have a couple little bushings to replace and a hyme (again) for the steering to work better.. Maybe I will get it done before Summer bash, But right now I wish I could push it off a cliff.
