After I get the body mounts set in stone, I'll trim the floor pannel to fit the tripple sticks and install the tripple shifter boot. Also install the floor shifter on it before bolting it back into place. Install the MSD 6AL, and the rest of the engine wiring, Radiator, Batteries, Steering shaft, Brake lines to the master cylander, Rest of the fuel line. Then it will be startable/moveable under it's own power. That won't take that long. If I keep focussed maybe I can have that stuff done this weekend.

What this weekend!! WOW. I knew you were smoking on it, but I didn't think you were that far along already. Looking at your "to do" list (Yellow sticky note for me) getting the body mounts set in stone and ,the Engine wiring would take me the most time.
I can't wait to see it. When are we taking it on it's shake down run?! next weekend :-)

I'm not sure. My goal was to have it ready by the March playday that widowmaker racing was putting on. I'll have to see what I can come up with. I like to keep close to the trailer on the first couple trips.

Ya they weld them in on blazers and burbs. There was a lot of rust on the factory hardware that you re-use too. So they're stuck on the bolts prity bad.

got some more bugs worked out on the body mounts today. I partly mounted the back bumper and when I pulled on the tire mount it broke off. (A 6 foot bar on a trailer spindle)I gues it wasn't strong enough. It would of broken with a 44 inch tire bouncing on it anyway... I'm thinking that when I was saying it will be done soon, I might have been too anxious. The last 3-4 trips have been on mostly body mounts. I hope they will be done soon.

The body is in place now,but I need to install the last bolt that I got today and start welding the mounts on. I also need to cut the fenders a lot more to clear the tires when they turn and flex. I'll get some pix today.
