Where did you get that bumper? It wasn't on the old truck, that is bad!!!!! I have a similar one for the Runner, I just don't have the tube that goes over the rear quarter like that, yet.

I built the bumper about 4 years ago. I found it on the offroad design site. They were doing an article on a kit you could buy to build it. I can't find it now, though. It's suposed to have a swinging tire rack. The trailer axel/ pivot shaft broke off when I installed it monday. I'm going to order a new one from Rockstomper.com ($45)

I got the front fenders almost all cut to where I want them. I also got all the body mounts welded tonight too. There is black paint on the botom edge of the fender that makes it look like it is cut wiggley.

I'm going to weld in a patch peice where the original marker light hole is half way into the fender opening.

So, has it moved under its own power yet? This is one of the fastest builds I have ever seen.

My wife doesn't think it's going fast enough.... I havent worked on any of the stuff to make it move yet. I might start that today. I still have to lengthen the steering shaft, hook up the brake lines to the master cylander, install the radiator and tranny cooler, do all the wire conections, buy and install new batteries and cables, hook up the tranny shifter, and bleed the brakes before I can think about starting and moving it. I didn't want to get distracted from the bigger stuff by tinkering. I also didn't want to have to do anything wrong with the body getting jacked up and down and side to side. That stuff will be coming the main focus soon. There is an endless list of things to do still. Small things like extending and mounting the gas tank filler neck, installing a bar to secure the mufflers to, more fender trimming, replacing the steering arm that widowmaker welded up for me at the mud bog for trace, installint the boot on the transfer case shifters, weld on the nerf bars, make chain steps under the nerf bars, Wash it....Just kidding

I worked late on it last night. (7:00) She was kinda upset. I told her that It will be worth it when it's done. I hate to feel like I didn't acomplish anything. At 6:00 (the time she wants me to head home) I had only had time to torch out and grind clean, some body mount braces and trim the fenders. I realy needed to get the body mounts welded up to feel like I got something acomplished..... She'll get over it.

They always do, till they need some ammo. ;D Did you end up running 63's on the back, I thought I seen that you were looking for some.

I only had an hour tonight. I got the steering shaft extended switched the rag joint(it had the wrong spline) then installed it. I also removed the a/c cooler and installed the radiator.I started to figure out the engine wiring. The wire that goes to the back of the alternator is re-routed up to a battery isolator (not sure why) There is a nother wire that comes from a nother terminal on the isolator thart goes to a solinoid, then a breaker and nothing after that. I think I will eliminate all of that stuff. I like to run my dual batteries paralel. With battery cables. (doubled amperage)

I'm also toying with the idea of extending the front bumper out to the width of the body
