look @ the name on shipping again...That was supposed to come here....lol Nice addition! I think i got some more of your stuff in the mail yesterday also. Right before I left for lunch two more boxes showed up also.. so with a few hours of shop time I got some of it put together here is the front truss mostly welded up (they forgot to ship the two passenger side pieces to it so that keeps me from getting any farther on the front till next week some time. Front truss on the axle Front truss with ram mount and skid. a better pic of the skid the rear truss is completly welded up, just have 15 more minutes to finnish weld part of it to the axle and it will be done and with the pinion guard and bridge. I will have the rear truss finnished today and the front skid and hopefully the four link tacked in the rear

great pile of parts you have going on. what is the circle of tube for? is gonna be enough room to get the diff cover off?

yea there is a removable section of the skid that allows for removal of the diff cover. the round circle of tube is going to give the shape of the rear wheel well. if you go back a few pages you can kinda get an idea I hope to get that part of the body in this week then it will make way more sense.

nothing for a while, I have everything but the seats to put a runner together. I need to pull my prp seats out of the race truck and see if I can fit four of them. I still need shafts and locker for the front still but I cant really afford that stuff. the only reason I have the parts i got is my buddy in kansas who has a fab shop sent them too me...

got up early this am and got rid of some dead weight after drilling and taping the disc brackets for the pistons I put on the disc brakes (thanks for the brackets Kelly) and did all the finish welding on the rear truss and got my lower four link mapped out and welded in the lower control arm brackets with the lower control arm brackets parallel to the ground and the upper brackets on the the truss i ended up with 9.5in of separation. between uppers and lowers. All I have left for the rear axle is to shave the diff and put in the vertical limits shave kit I have, clean up the diff cover put on the upper control arm brackets and paint! shouldnt take more then an hour or two? LOL

Well got some stuff done tonight, went to the shop and decided to use a big grinder with 7in cut off wheel and a normal grinder with a 4in disc for details, and then a grinding disc to get a good fit... I have done this with sawzalls before and i Liked this much better. So I got my diff cover welded together and put it in place marked my cut lines and went to town with the grinder fit the new heavy outer ring heated up the cast and welded it in... after two hours of heating and welding heating and welding I ended up with this and this yes those are flip flop lines in the dirt on my feet... yea i know im an idiot... and after it was all said and done wrapped it up in my welding blanket and put it to sleep for the night!

Coming together. Nothing like grinding and welding residue on everything in the shop (and your toes).

LOL yep.... Im trying to keep momentum on this project. Its easy to loose sight on the end game building from scratch but any time I am dreading doing something (like shaving the diff) I watch some rock bouncing vids on youtube and it gets me all excited. It only took me 2 hours to shave the diff this time. Last one I did it took me and my buddy probably 6 hours start to finnish and the thing still weeped oil so we took it apart welded some more and it still weeped but less, Things went so much better this time I dont have any worries about leaking. But i still may puddy the inside weld with some jb weld just to be safe?

I took the origional chassis I cut up at the begining of this project into recycling today and it got me 104 bucks for 1500lbs of scrap... best I can figure that is about 1100lbs more than the chassis I am building...

Got a couple of hours in the shop tonight got the front truss and skid all done and got the lower control arm brackets tacked in... Now I can finish the lower chassis and get the control arms in. Sorry for the crappy pics, guess I should clean the pocket lint off my phone, and maybe open the shop door and let some smoke out. Skid truss the skid for the diff brackets got the diff all cleaned

The lower frame rail cut and welded in with the rear cross member and lower link brackets. Tested roll cage height with the wide load seat. picked a b pillar pitch and got them welded in...
