The heat of summer killed me so I stopped working on my stuff but a friend said he'd help me out with the stang so hopefully it'll be in paint soon and driving. I can see how those braces will get repetitive.

Got a little work done last night, got the chassis in place and started on the rear wheel wells. got them tacked in and the top rail bent up. I hope to have it notched and welded in today, and would like to get most of the rear four link stuff welded in. I definatly like how its looking, it will have a 19 inch belly height and 70ish inch roof line

I had the day off today and got to play for a bit in the shop. cycled the four link and got it welded up and mounted the shocks. Next I will get the motor mounts in and start on the front and get the cage to take shape.. The four link ended up exactly like I hoped with lowers parallel to the ground at ride height and uppers going uphill. Ended up with a 101.8 anti-squat number... I also got lucky I thought I had plenty of room for my fuel cell and after the shocks were welded in went to test it and it was snug but a good fit!

looking good, keep it up / you gona do anay gussets or braceing on your shock hoops?, its getting there there will be a brace between the two shock mounts, it will be braced down the wheel well, and depending on how the roll cage comes back probably braced to it as well.. I prefer the transfer of energy to flow up into the chassis rather than putting torsion on it.

nice work, look forward to seeing how the final lines end up. Is this going to stay buggy or will it look like a jeep when done?

thanks, I hope it will resemble a willy jeep again? LOL I am going to skin it and use my willys hood and grill, and possibly windshield. I do intend on DDing it so I will have to have some sort of windshield.

I got a little more done on the jeep... it took forever but I finally got it how i like it... put together the front of the cab and the rear roll cage and tied it in down to the body I just set the windshield on there and the hood just to get an idea of how it will look I need to cut the bottom off the windshield and build a cowl still and a pic from the rear

Nice, if it had a 2 piece windshield it would remind me of the sniper chassis

Oh yea, I googled the sniper chassis and definitely see some similarities.
