Finally have something done worth showing. Finished welding up the cross member today. Got it all bolted back into place and suprisingly it still fit. After I get the tabs welded on for the lower links I'll get it painted. Also going to add a little bit of plate to the bottom just to help not get stuck on rocks, even though I have a feeling the nuts are going to be a bigger target. Anyways on to pics... Frame mount pieces. Between the 2 pieces of angle is 1/4 piece of metal in order to get the spacing needed for the transmission mount... All welded up.. The small piece that is angled up is the transfer case mount... Wifey got bored while she was helping.. All bolted into position... Just tacked the plate to the frame, it's purpose is just to make the frame a little thicker where the side bolts go through. Next week I'll get the truck jacked up to what I want ride height to be. Might start on my shackle flip brackets to get the rear back on the ground, but I'll see next week. Then the rest of the interior needs to come out, and finish up my tube bender. Then it's onto bending up the rollcage, getting the front axle into place and mocking up the links. Still need to add the material to box in the frame, but that will be after I get the gas tank moved and the gas lines removed for replacing since they are getting pretty rusty. If I can keep the momento going, it might be done by Summerbash.

looks good , you could weld two thick short pieces of tube around the nuts so they don't get banged up?? just a thought.

I have to figure out how I'm going to mount the sides for my boatsides with the side pieces on there. Not sure how I'm going to do that yet, but I guess I'll figure it out when the time comes. Almost forgot, bought another toy for the project. Just not sure if I'll put it on here or the black truck yet. Most likely it'll end up on here sinces it's only a 8k lb. It's an older Warn MX8000 got it for a decent price, just needs a controller and cable. If anyone wants the mount let me know I'll sell it pretty cheap. I don't plan on using it.

Didn't even realize that was there. Probably one of the locks that came of the Uhaul after we got back from our roadtrip.
After re-reading your post Jonny, I see which ones you're talking about. Don't know what I was thinking....I'll just blame it on lack of sleep.

Nothing really new to show done on the Ramcharger, but did get some things done to prepare for the next steps. Got my centers cut out of my H1 8bolts. Only cost me lunch, couldn't go wrong... Got the truck jacked up to where I want my ride height to be. Right now the lowest spot on the cross-member is about 21.5" from the ground, and the roof is about 6'10" or around there... I think it'll make it back out of the garage... Just for reference with me standing next to it... Notice my makeshift bench

Most likely PVC but it'll be a while till those wheels make it on the truck. I'm going to use the 35's from my black truck with these axles. When I get my next set of axles for "stage 2" I'll put them on with hopefully at least a 42" tire. Right now they're sitting in my attic. I mean, "technically" I'm using all 1/2 ton stock parts right now, so there has to be a stage 2

Thanks for the offer Kevin, but right now going to hold off till I get it moving on this set-up. I did get the front axle slid into position. Need to order some different brakets from Ballistic and then start cutting up the body for the boatsides...and removing the back part of roof. Right now going to give myself a rough completion date of July. Hope to be sooner, but I do like to procrastinate.
