Here's some pictures to catch up where I'm at so far. 4wheelsupply high steer arms from pirate... Tie rod and drag link cut, welded, and installed finger tight... I wanted to put the drag link on the outer most hole, but due to the axle being pushed forward about 6" it would hit the tierod while turning. New steering box drilled and tapped for hydro assist... New "stock" power steering pump for external reservoir from same year 3/4-1 ton Dodge trucks... Took pump apart and modified it for more flow at lower RPM's, we'll see if it will work. Still need to order a reservoir for the powersteering, thinking of going with this one, only thing is it's plastic, not sure if it'll hold up to offroading... www.summitracing.com/parts/jzp-610-025-01/overview/Need to figure out how to measure and get a steering ram and build a mount for it. Also putting in my order for my fuel cell this week, after that comes in I'll almost have everything needed to finish. Need to figure out what size soft lines I need for the calipers and get them ordered so I can bend and run the brake lines.

Little more progress Finished cross-member Still debating to put studs in for the transmission mount to get rid of the nuts on the bottom, or get a piece of UHMW plastic thick enough to have the nuts recessed. Need to figure out how to move the exhaust up a little, this is a 4x4 Y-pipe, the 2x4 one was even lower and about 1/4" from the transmission drain. Started getting the fuel cell ready to install. Starting to remove the cover and swapped the pickup and rollover valve to different sides. Walbro pickups for each corner, fuel sender hole drilled and installed, and return line drilled. All installed....mostly. Ran out of aluminum tubing, need to order another 2' to finish the pickup install. About where it's going to sit in the rear. Bought these last week instead of using the stock ones Still need to purchase a rear seat before SB9 but the goal right now is to finish up the fuel system so I can get it started in the next couple of weeks.

Great job Timmy! I'm not sure what you will do with the exhaust setup.. Hmm...
I like the uhmw idea! Let us know if we can help! It's looking great BTW! Love the seats... would like to get a set like that in our buggy, but the money...

Truck hasn't been sitting idle, been sneaking out and trying to get small things done to it as much as I can.
Small list of things that are done: Fuel lines, new electric external pump, and filter installed. Removed A/C evaporator from heater box and installed new heater core since old one had a major leak before it was parked. Power steering pump installed fully and plumbed to box. New HD water pump installed. Radiator will be re-installed tomorrow since I'm off the rest of the week for TJ's birthday. After radiator is installed, have a new power steering cooler to install and the transmission cooler that was on it when it was parked. Still need to make a mount and install the PS reservoir, but hoping I can get that done tomorrow also.
Ordered my hydraulic fluid for the steering today, need to run at Amsoil and pick it up tomorrow. Since I'll be out that way, going to stop by Pick N Pull and grab an electric fan. After all that I should be able to start and let the truck run without fear of pushing fluids everywhere.
Waiting on my invoice to pay for my steering ram off Pirate then it should be on its way. Once it gets here and installed the steering should be finished.
Left to do is order braided lines and finish running the brake lines, figure out my shocks and get them ordered, and drive lines and I should be able to get it out of the garage. Still have a lot of little stuff to do to button up the partially finished sections (rear fenders), cut and dove nose the front and get the hood cut to match. Still have a bit to go, but hoping to have it finished up before the end of May if I can afford it.

Been getting a few more things done, got the power steering reservoir installed, also the put the radiator back in and got a power steering cooler mounted along with the transmission cooler. Made it up to installing the Hydro Assist cylinder and I need some advice from you guys before mounting. I've read that the heims should be mounted in the same plane to help reduce twisting of the cylinder and as close to inline with the tie rod as possible. This is the best I can get and still have full motion from lock to lock. The cylinder slopes up a little bit, I can move the axle side up a little, but not much more. Going to get a piece of 3" square tube to mount it straight out from axle. This is the best spot I can get, tried most of the day with different positions, including mounting off the diff cover as you can see by all the missing paint. What do you guys think, will this be okay? Thanks in advance.

Can you go above the diff cover and come off the back side of the tie rod? My tie rod is on the back but the cylinder is parallel with the tie rod and @ the same height. This is how we did Bill's, it is identical to my setup (except the diff is on the wrong side, lol)

I can try, but not sure if I can due to how close the tie rod gets to the diff cover at full turn and at about the same height as the diff. I'll play around with it some more today and see what I can come up with.

I think where I have it not will work. Basically it's mirrored from Buzzer's except for the ram is mounted towards the front of the axle. It'll be close, but it appears that the tie rod will miss the cover by about 1/4" or so. Have to wait till next week to get a piece of steel and then I can tack it on and try it out. Thanks for the help guys.
