I switched over to motor oil a couple years ago. It has a higher boiling point and doesn't froth if it cavitates. Some semi trucks run it that way. It has worked great for me... My PS was over heating on windy trails when I was running ATF. The only thing I changed was the fluid, and I don't have that problem anymore.

I run shell telis 46 hydraulic fluid, haven't had problems yet, let me know if you want to try some.

is it synthetic? is it thinner than ps fluid?

It is not synthetic and it's roughly the thickness of power steering fluid.

atf is what i heard, but psc advertises royal purple, i might just pay a little more and run RP. i dont want to have to buy the parts again. i would rather run what is best for the system anyways.

drivelines are in the shop. found out the short side tube was bent on my 60, and the housing was bent. have had my axle at axlemasters for a week, and they fixed it up 100% just dropped it off to have the gears setup. hoping to have the jeep closer to completion soon.
