Josh.. solved blazer trouble with a whole new computer. ( I was running the 4.3 computer and what turned out to be a 305 chip.) now 350 computer and chip. got a 350 computer from a pick up at LKQ. Then re timed as per your instructions and ran near perfect.. only trouble is idle is a bit high... maybe 1000? haven't put tach on yet. I did ground the green and black park nuetral switch wire.. but did not seem to help. Did have a couple days where it would loose power for 2 seconds and resume.. this occured about 10 times,, but not on the last few days.. hopefully computer had not fully adjusted and now it hopefully has.. have read where it is possible to disconnect the computer idle and run manual adjust through the small hole on front of the throttle body.. may try that if I don't get idle down enough for deq that requires less than 1000 rpm.
But it is very drivable and power seems to be where I would expect for this engine.. a good increase in torque from the 4.3.
I appreciate your help on this,, and your time on the phone that night.. Dave.

Glad I could help. If you can't get the idle down you could always do this. s-series.org/component/option,com_tech_article/Itemid,/item,63/task,item/

followed your link and printed out the directions for TBI idle adjustment.
I hooked up my tach today.. idle is hovering just below 1000 rpm in nuetral.
Truck is usable as is,,, I may consider rpm adjustment if it fails deq because of idle..
again,, I appreciate all you did to help,, it was a help.
I am gonna find some snow or a trail this sunday.. can't wait any longer.

Ok,,, finally got to take the truck out with the new engine.. Seems ok.. few little squeeks and rattles,, but that is to be expected since last outing was SOB in August,, and driveline ujoint may need replaced ? I will see. Anyhow,,, after a long trip in the snow.. up road 41 from Sunset Falls on Lewis River near Yacolt WA. finally got to what would prove to be the end of the road for us that day.. A big Snow Drift. After examining it.. I decided this would be a good time to see if I can get my truck stuck... and ,,, Yes,, Yes I Can . After being towed back out of my drift,,, I was awarded the famous "ding a ling" award. The Cowbell from Pistons Wild Motorsports Club. A great Day. Popeye went with me.. but was still good. Dave. me getting the ding a ling award. Thanks to Daryl for that one.

snow must have been pretty firm to stand on top of it without sinking!

Give me a call tomorrow night or anytime saturday and we'll work out the details.

After all these posts on how my engine conversion was going and the drivability problems I was experiencing.... It is Finally running Correctly. Thanks To Josh and his friend Ryan.
Josh invited me over on Sunday. He and Ryan used a borrowed scan computer and checked several parameters on my truck.
the main problem that came up was the throttle position sensor. It showed the wrong voltage sweep. We swapped in another from a spare throttle body I had,,, and corrected that problem.
He also found a few areas that may need some future attention.
My drive back home was great. The truck is running perfect. Not a hiccup. and .. It took a lot less gas pedal to change speed on the highway. deffinately running better.
I am pretty sure my drivablility trouble is taken care of. Can't wait to get a few more hours on it so I can relax while driving it,, knowing it it REALLY Fixed.
I also enjoyed spending a little time and getting to know Buzzer.
GOOD PEOPLE>. Nice to know you. Dave.

Here is the most current pic. includes both the new hood scoop and the new front mud flares and guards. I am hoping the flares and guards will keep the windows clear when driving muddy roads. These tires are wide enough that they fling alot of mud onto the windows. We'll see how it works.
