Yes,,,, c'mon Poorboys,,, This is Your Trail System Too !! and a rare opportuninty to say you helped create a trail.. and .. like possumpieces said on the Pistonswild link,, a chance to get to see the first of the new trail system.. I have been up there maybe 10 or more times scouting this first trail and placing flags. This first loop will be approx 10miles in lenth.. It is in an absolutely beautiful area that will reward the users with views of streams,, waterfalls,, mountains. * several, and more. It will be tough in some spots for sure... and will be very interesting to see how it starts,,, and grows and matures with use. Poorboys This is in your back yard !! We WILL need you through this whole project and will want you to take ownership and pride with this area.. Please take this opportunity to start this process. I again want to thank the several who HAVE helped already.. mostly by being good and postitive infuences to offroading in general.. and more specifically by being at Yacolt for the Clean Up The Burn events... as this is what really helped convince DNR that there ARE responsible groups out here who WILL work to create and maintain a project like this. We have a Wonderful opportunity here.. Let's really do this right and create a foundation for future expansion of this system and others in our area and the nation. here is that link to our forum page organizing this weekend's trail work. pistonswildforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=yacoltburntrailproject&action=display&thread=1382&page=1Dave Huttula. hootie. Another Awesome Day in the woods..
Had 9 people show up to help clear brush from the longer stretch of the first loop. Possumpieces ( Mike ) and Crusty ( Justin ) came from the poorboy forum. They did Poorboy proud today.
I will be interested to have Mike and Justin post up with their opinion of what they say today.. ( even though it was a limited glimpse..
Thanks again... and ,, Next time,, More Poorboys !!! OK? Dave.

There was a lot of very rough terain, trip hazards, slippery rocks, creek crossings and off camber hill sides. We hiked in a long ways lopping limbs and moving branches and other wood debris to create a clearer path for the officials that need to travel the trail to compleat the next few steps of the process. It was probly just as well that Ken and Renee weren't able to make it today. They're injuries would of held them back for sure. We were basicly making a path through the forest, up, down and across steep hill sides.

Yeah, great day!!!! Alot of work has already been done just to get to this point. I think that the area is great and there is some good potential for REALLY good trails, there is already a tank trap trail that is going to stay and become apart of the system. If you like the woods, it is an awesome area for sure. The stream crossings really make it unique for sure.
