Hi everyone. I am new to the your site and 4 wheeling in general. I was refered to this site by aprobert, so you can blame him...LOL. I figured I would introduce myself and my rig before trying to get in on a few of the trips you all put together. I have been mostly into racing cars but this is my newest venture. My vehicle is an 87 Chevy swb. I like it because I got it from a family member and have had a great time restoring it, but after much reading and 1 trip to NoonDay Wagon Trail, I have found that is it really not the right rig for trails and wheeling in general unless you are into big mudholes. Oh, and mudding is not something that I enjoy, as of yet. Anyways onto my truck :
Please keep in mind that this is the first truck I have ever "brought back to life" and have little knowledge in regards to wheeling. I am simply trying to do it right with the parts I have. No intentions on going hog wild with this rig. I do plan on using the truck and giving it a few (more) character scratches this winter wheeling around in the snow and taking it on trails this hunting season.
Enjoy!
Big Ugly.
Brought him home a few months back. Non running 5000 lbs of Ameeeeerican v8 powered 4x4 heartache. Plans included making it run, than a cheapo paint job in my shop and a summer full of runs to rexuis and camping.
Than I got to work:
2 months into it I had tinted the windows, installed a complete new stereo system, E code headlight conversion, 6000k HID's, billet grill, 4'' lift kit, 35'' tires, Truetrac lockright's front and rear, trailer brakes , 13'' steering wheel, and a few other small things. New gears,Custom bumpers and paint are next. Still have less than 3k into the entire truck at this point
Well I suppose I should do the paint work right and add a few more goodies.
Truck now has:
4.88 gears
Lockers
4'' procomp lift
SS brake lines
35'' MTR Kevlars
New paint
Homemade headache/cargo rack w/ lights
Homemade rear bumper
New sliding rear window
Front bumper and winch comming soon
I am sure I am forgetting something. Now for the pics:
Here is a link to the paint work if anyone is interested in looking at the process.

Painted with the rack:
I bought a 10k lb warn winch that I am going to integrate into the frame and build the front bumper around it.
Its not great but I took some flex photo's and pics with the side moldings installed.
New moldings
Little flex...... very little...lol
Hope you like it! And anyone local that wants to hit the trails, PM me. I really love to drive this pickup!
