i went to napa in search of a 89 k5 MC and it was the same part number, no wonder it bolts in.
i tried the backing up trick a bunch to no avail. so either, we screwed up the bleeding a ton(unlikely). or i need to pull everything apart and adjust it manualy.
and i have basicly accepted the fact that i have to buy the upgrade shift kit from transgo. which i will install my self.

these are what i finished up last week to take some of the heat off. brakes still suck, and tranny still bangs so i dont drive it. only when i need a lot of groceries, and its raining.

i had a birthday a few days ago, so my money bags got a bit heavyer.
i have a friend in an auto tech program, that can help me do the transmissionin a month or so. from my readings on the kit it looks like its all in the valve body. so could i just buy a replacement valvebody? im okay with possily paying more for a whole valve body than risk screwing the whole boat.

looks like im going to buy a rebuilt transmission. rebuilt by ammco around 100 miles ago, but he decided to scrap the truck, and he just happens to drive by my exit a few times a week. so when he gets around to pulling it.
also, gunna buy ballistics' disc bracket. just a double check, i can steal front rotors and calipers from any 70's 3/4 ton chevy?

caliper looks to be upside down. your bleeder should be on top.

if you swap calipers per side that will also fix that loop in your soft line. Your hard lines go up out of site, i take it they go to another soft line.

X2.. no way to get all the air out with the bleeders so low...
on a side not... i'd get rid of those blocks and just put in longer shackles.... How far back is the axle moved?

oh and i definately dont like the blocks. its just 2" blocks beneath the stock setup. but im thinking of just running them for a bit and trying a link setup this winter.
on another note, how should i go about mounting the rear shocks? weld in a new cross member of angle iron above the frame? or utilize the stock upper shock mounts? any pics of your upper shock mounts?
