Got an email back from McKenzie Bridge Ranger District: Ken, Thanks for taking the time to make contact, yes we are very interested in establishing some trail patrols, adopt a trail, and any other type of trail club type activities. You talked to Jerrin Robbins on the 4th of July weekend, I have tried to contact you since but wasn't sure I had the correct club, I found poorboyoffroad, but couldn't find Rescue Ranger, the fact that your club does back-country recovery really caught my eye. Do you have a class 2 tow truck??? we are moving and setting some big stone and I would love to get a tow truck in on some of the volunteer construction. I'm thinking that when you were here on the fourth you got to "wheel" a bunch of ratty dirt roads, here is a couple pics of the class 2 trail we are currently working on, there are several more to be constructed. As you can see we are going to be providing some first class OHV trails in the near future. Please give me a call and lets figure out what we can do for each other. The U.S. Forest Service runs this and from my understanding, everything is in place, they just need volunteers to help maintain it.

I figure Salem is the closest big city.

Got an email from deschutecounty4wheelers.com that is doing a Work Party Sept. 27 2009 at the Santiam Pass OHV Area. They have been working with the US Forest Service at setting up trails there. www.deschutescounty4wheelers.com Hello Ken, Mike mentioned you but I was unable to find your web page. Yes we too are working with Mike McFadin on the McKenzie side of the Santiam OHV area. We are adopting a few trails that we have been working on. Below is the next work party. Are you a PNW member? And is you club within the association? We would love to have the adoption be a PNW event. I think the areas you have been focusing on are separate from ours. We have been in that area for 30 years, appealed the TMP twice and are very happy to have access in the specific area we are working on. Let us know if you will be there on the 27th..........Randy Drake 419.9952 September Club Run Sunday, September 27th We will be leaving Sister's McDonalds at 8:30 a.m. I'm going to try and make this.

Not sure if I'm going to make it this Sunday? Waiting on checks in the mail to show up for gas money. I have a ruff draft notebook set up for the US Forest Service to review for Volunteer Trail Patrol.
