So have any of you noticed the little blue RMA signs on the side of the roads near water ways and wondered what they are? Well here is some info on them. Small blue signs are sprouting up along rural roadways, usually near waterways. Three white letters - RMA - standing for "Riparian Management Area," mark the most environmentally sensitive areas. The signs are there to remind county staff and contractors that more stringent Best Management Practices are required in these areas. Road workers routinely follow BMPs designed to protect the environment. The more strict operational limitations within the designated RMAs further protect our streams, rivers, and wetlands. www.cropinfo.net/ripiarian.htm

Ohh SNAP...... I just got back from our trip to the eastcoast and I now have one of these lil' markers in my yard...... Guess we won't be building Mels mudbog pit in the backyard...... ..... Asa if I don't have enough problems with the greenies up in TSF now they are on my own property? Mel and I are already very cautious of anything around the creek so I'm sure we don't have anything to worry about. The damn cows next door trampling and crapping in it now thats a different story. I have not gotten any litticure about this in the mail yet so.... And what about the LNG line they want to run next to and at one place under the creek? Thats not very envermentaly good for the eco system is it? ... K end bitch session
