I am VERY glad that we finally have this thing done, it's no longer taunting me every time I go to his house and It's a great feeling of accomplishment taking something apart and being able to put it back together and then.... IT WORKS!(without extra parts to boot)

well. after my first wheeling excursion, which was a few weeks ago, and getting my jeep stuck in 4wd low(linkage =F'ed) I have decided to sell it. I have just today bought a new cherokee that is already lifted about 4 inches, has a dana 44 rear end, 31-10.5 bfg at's, and a tow package. Its an 87 but in way better condition than the one i have now. Only needs minor work(broken hood latch,

Ok, so its now for like the 5th time back to me working on this jeep. The other jeep that i purchased actually had way more problems that i though, even after test driving it, they were problems that wouldnt have surfaced had i not been wheeling it. I have found a cheap 4" lift for about $500. Im going to put that on when i can afford it then I am planning on buying some stock yj rims from a friend, and for tires i was looking at getting some 31's or 32's. I'll post pics of it as soon as i get the lift and everything else.

ok, so progress is going kida slow, and after discovering that my front right tire was about to disentigrate, i decided to buy some new tires for the time being. I bought a set of 235's from my cousin. First day of having them on we took it out, we came to this spot and there was a hole i never thought i could make... but i had a few rigs there to help me get out if worst came to worse. So after a while of convincing myself.. i hit it pretty hard and the rearened slammed down and my muffler came off... not just the muffler... the whole setup, tailpipe and everything. but after about 15 minutes of wrestling the hole i made it though! so now im going to buy a new tailpipe and put on a glasspack or something like that.. i'll get some pics up soonn

Well its been a while since i've posted any updates. The long awaited engine rebuild is sarting sometime this week. After that is done all i have to do is wait til school gets out and as a graduation present my parents are going to buy me a lift. 3in. front 4 in. rear. for tires i am going to most likely buy some 32 in. swampers from my cousin.

I have also been having some problems with my 4wd. I had it up in the woods the other day just screwing around walking my dogs and the 4wd wouldnt engage. So while m fixing my engine ill check my t-case and all that jazzzz. I think its the t-case becase when i was trying to engage it it was making some "awsome" grinding noises. i might even possibly have broken my front axle.

So i will post some pics and keep u guys updated.

jeepers are you including tire differance in your lift stats? or do you have actually 18 in of suspension lift?

Well today was teh official start of the engine rebuild. Drained all the fluids, pull about 5 million diffrent hoses, disconnected a few eletrc lines, pulled the airbox, and of course got the battery out.. i will post pics later.

Well this project is taking a little bit more time thatn expected. We almost have the engine out. I'll post some pics of the progress soon.
