Hey that is not a cool way to talk about your cousin bud.. so an Update on LE heep, after the trans sat on the ground for a while we got the Branches out of his driveway, cleaned out his shed and tore into it. we got the T case split and it was pretty obvious that the case is pretty F'd, the planetaries have a nice Click to them when spinning them by hand and there are a couple stripped gears. not to mention the 1" or so of metal shavings on the magnent in the bottom of the case..

P.S. he should have pics soon

Check the rear axle,if that rig has the Up Country suspension package it should have a Dana 44. It was a option 87-89. Z

welll turns out instead of being a np231 transfercase(the one i need) its a np242(the one i dont need). but all is well because i can just do a few modifications to linkage and then ill have full time 4-wheel drive!!.. more or less all wheel drive. but yea, its almost in. we got it almost all the way in but there are 2 locator sleeves in bolt holes on the engine. when the guy removed the trans from the engine one of them stuck in the transmission so now we have to pull the trans out to remove the sleeve from the tranny. otherwise we had it in...... yea....well tomorow afternoon we are gonna take it back out and give it another try... soo ill give ya the update after thats happened. i also updated my cardomain. www.cardomain.com/ride/769612 Later Tye T.

aparently (according to my cousin(aka ranger wheelin)) its something for emissions....(which we dont have.) and yes there appears to be fluid going to it.. or air. im not even sure. i just kinda left it alone and put the bumper back on.
and.. for being the first pereson to even ask about.. i award you !!! 20INTERNET $$$$$... you can get a free neopets account with that much money....

OK. So today we started on getting it in all the way. pulled it back out removed that part. and then got it back into place(which wasn't easy). and then bolted it in. and before hand my cousin took the t-case of the tranny so it would move easier. so we had to put the t-case back on.. soo far soo goood. now was time for the cross member.. well wasn't that thing a pain the the butttttt. took us 4 trys to get it on right. so. after securing many more screws nuts and bolts!! we were ready to turn over then engine to make sure it would work..(but not start it). soo i hop in turn on the key.. nothing..... wtf.. omg!! i was soo pissed.. so we figured.. hey lets just jump it with Craig(aka ranger wheeling)'s BII. ook .. still nothing..... omg i was soo pissed off.. then we decide that my battery must be really dead.. so we switch them out. (his in mine. mine on the charger.)......turn the key..... nothing.... i was at the point of almost wanting to light it on fire.... soooo.. we start on a 15 minute journey of checking wires and all sorts of junk....and yea.. nothing seemed to work..so after getting the rusty gears in my head to turn a little i said " what about the tranny?".. and Craig was already down there seeing if the linkage would fit... he discovers.....IT WAS IN REVERSE!!!!.. sooooooooooooo....... hook my battery back up and turn the key... OMG... it worked..... i was soo happy it was better than having an orgasm......wooooooo.. sooo next time we work on it all we gotta do is hook up the linkage check fluid levels. and try and move it...... sooooooooo moral of the story is.... Check what gear its in.....

Well after about an hours worth of work me and Craig finally finihsed it. It runs, moves (well i might say), and sounds like it has a v8 with no exhaust on it. But after like 3 months We finally got it done. Next on the list is a tune up. I need to get my hands on a poorboy sticker for my window. Then new suspension(aka lift) Tires Then im gonna wheel the hell out of it and fix it as i go.
