you might just need to pull the throttle body apart and put some new O-rings and idle control solenoid in it. or just get a bigger TB and a new idle control solenoid. do a static compression test on her and a leak down test before you go slappin a new motor in it. the AMC 4.0's are some reliable engines. Lucille doesn't even have that many miles on her does she?

planning on camping at TSF. Test everything out before our club run at sandlake... Not going to pull her heart out? You musta read it wrong? I pulled the AIS off and hit it and the Tb with some carb cleaner.. Alls good Although now it has a problem not wanting to start right up.. been doing it for a couple weeks off and on. Acts like the battery is dead but if I keep turning it on after it goes through the intial check it says check gauges and the battery is not reading anything but it will then let me start it up? Odd very very odd. Got started on my bumper looking pretty good so far will post up in a lil' bit.

Thanks guys.. I knew all that scrap would come in handy and with Ken giving me the winch plate, even a poorboy like me can build one. BTW the bends were made on the bender my work was going to toss too

What's the red thing under the winch plate in the pic? Is that red paint?

The Orange on the bottom is pallet racking .. It's even powder coated just had to it down to use. Like I said I got less than $10 in this bumper ... Alot of time esp. on getting the bends where I wanted them. I need to add a skid to protect my steering box then weld on tabs for my lights. Then paint it.. I think...

Nice! Looks great! I'm glad you got the other pipe bender to work. I bet it is easier then the one we were using. I would add a skid plate to the steering box. Remember the $1 paint cans at Home Depo when you get ready to paint :-)

The only problem I have with my bender is it only does 2 sizes of pipe... But no kinks and smooth bends. painted it up to get it all 1 color (black) Whats left 1. clevis mounts welded to and bolted to the bumper/frame 2. Steering skid plate 3. light tabs 4. get winch fixed
