So far we haven't decided what thickness... we were thinking maybe 3/8 with a lot of bracing... but depending on how top heavy she might be we may go 1/2 or 3/4 to add some lower weight. We are so stoked that it NATURALLY made it possible to do a flat belly plate we haven't thought about al the details. So far this is the only thing that we have ever worked on that seems to WANT to go together to be seriously wheeled. Like the engine swap we did in my Camry a couple of weeks ago is a great example of what normally happends.. first the tranny didn't want to seperate from the engine, then after we managed to get that apart and all.. the engine wires wouldn't stay plugged in even though they were clipped in like the injectors... then for no reason when all is said and done.. it had no reverse. There isn't anything we did to cause it to not havereason and even the tranny shop that we had it looked at said that everything we did was fine and that there is no real reason why it shouldn't have reverse considering it did BEFORE the swap. So, we said whatever because it still goes forward in all gears fine, so we drove it 1300 miles from South Dakota to Oregon. And now, being parked and all (expired tags), he has slowly regained reverse back. Very odd in all honesty.. but then again this car has had a serious attitude since I bought him a few years ago... lol It's so great that the Dazer seems nearly the complete opposite...

ok trying to get back to the daily updates. LOL ok first thing we did to dazer today was remove the engine driven fan. Then we test fit the front clip back on. to see is we need to do a body lift to clear the new bigger motor. Can you say close. So close infact we desided to remove the stock fire blanket. It would have hit it a little. plus we wanted to see just how close we where to hitting because as we could see with it we where not hitting. We felt the front end looked to funny with out the rest of the grill and all so we had to put it back on just to see what it will look like in the end. The grill in new to this rig so we hadn't see it on it yet. we just didn't like the stock grill plus it was cracked. Well this will have to go. LOL Removed the front clip again. then started removing the old IFS mounts. We desided CROME SUCKS. So we started covering it all. Painting up the inside of the hood now that the fire blanket is out. ok so thats what we got done in the few hours today. would have got more but have to get to bed at a decent hour today. LOL Scott

Umm... I'd like to but we have money issues. We have to buy a computer, starter and rims still... so it doesn't look like it's going to happen unfortunately.

No progress last 3 days... took Scott's truck wheelin at Sand Lake... it was fun but his truck isn't built for the sand so it was a very interesting expierence... especially with a slipping tranny... lol

Yeah I'm still working on it. The past couple of weeks has been extremely busy... but we've got the rear end tacked in place.. still haven't welded the perch springs on but we managed to move it to warpony's house using a dolly and man it was so nice to see that thing actually move. I can't wait till I find time to get it done. I'm hopefully going to working on it basically non stop until it gets done. The wiring harness out of the dakota is missing quite a few sensors and its a little bit complicated with the wiring diagrams I have so... that's about the longest and frusterating thing I can do. We still have to do the motor mounts and the tranny/transfer mount to make the whole thing stable because right now the engine, tranny and transfer case are being held up by rachet straps and a chain underneath. Scott is still working on the invention for the front end so...Yeah. It's been fun. lol
Sorry its been so long since I updated... I'll see if I can get some more pics taken here soon...

I know that ya all have been craving for an update... so ta da here it is lol As I said last post about getting it over to our friend's house, well.. this is what it looks like after the "big move" I like this photo... it looks like an 80's RamCharger The new front axel.... I still have the alignment to fix.. lol Looking at 33s but debating between 33s or bigger (35 is the biggest I'd go and obvious trimming with either.) The new and improved ghost motor... lol (nah.. motor is still there but not in view oddly enough) Rear at ride height and front... well umm... riding on new axel... (See above) Just to compare height... i'm about 5'5"... So far, since we last updated what we have done, we've been more or less trying to figure out how to do mounts and working on the front axel. I've been playing with the wiring dagrams a little bit but... umm to say the least there is a lot of crap on a newer vehicle... lol TOO MUCH STUFF!!!! Hopefully we'll be able to have the tranny mount built, and the true front axel (lol) fabbed up by friday... I'll get ya all pics of that later on after its all done. ~Crazy
