Alright we managed to get that 2004 Dakota 3.7 drive train that I've had my eyes on for a couple months to go into the 1984 S10 Blazer... well here's what has gone on so far... May 2, 2007 12am-2:30am *Set approximate ride height Frame 15 1/2 inches (max of jackstands so off about 9 inches) *Checked Dakota leaf springs looks like it adds about 12 inches of lift using the stock blazer stock mounts (LOL) *Rear end completely pulled *Dakota leafs Installed using stock Blazer mounts (Unaltered) *Approximate floor board height upon completion is about 32 1/2 inches May 2, 2007 1pm-4pm *Removed flares, mudflaps, front clup including front bumper, wires from engine bay and front shocks (still good) *Disconnected and removed AC system (Previous owner never filled) Here are the pics we have as of right now. mocking up tires just to see what it will look like. the body is sitting about 9" below where it will be at ride hight. the axle is about 2" off the ground at this point. LOL pic of the old axle. the front clip is now off. pic two of the front clip off last one of the front clip off. notice the brakes on the new rear axle? new motor. waiting to go in. ~Crazy

Cool. Pictures are HUGE.. You must have a nice camara. LOL. The pictures don't fit on my 24" flat pannel running a resolution of 1900X1200. LOL I know.. GREAT camera... sorry about it being so huge. As for this thread being moved... shouldn't it be in the dodge section as well considering its HALF dodge... LMAO!!!! JK!!! For those of you who are wondering why we did this mopar thing.... Looking at specs this is what I came up with... so more horse and roughly the same torque. 2004 Dodge Dakota Engines Size liters /cu. in /Horse- power/ Torque ohc V6/ 3.7 /210 /235 1990 Chevy S10 Blazer (the better 4.3) Engines Size liters /cu. in /Horse- power/ Torque ohc V6/ 4.3 /160-165 /230-235 Now consider what price can you find the 4.3L for... including computer, wiring harness, axels, tranny and transfer case? Quite a few bucks right? Well, we got the Dakota for a couple hours of welding work. That's why we went mopar.. lol ~Crazy Thanks for the comments as well....

Especially and obviously the brain and gauge cluster. Do you have the 4wd switches as well, considering its all electronical crap? lol Thank you!!!

More pics of the last few days. motor test fit. reattacting trany to transfre case. fully removed old cehcy IFS. new break booster to go with the new breaks. so far so good. every thing is starting to move along smoothly. The break booster bolted right up, and the engine is going to fit nicely. looks like the steering is going to be fun to figure out. well back out to work on the dazer. Scott
