I have heard that the freezing process increses the density of the molecules and will make the axles harder.........but I personally doubt that it will make enough difference to keep an axle from breaking, and I am would bet that a chromoly axle is still much stronger

I know those moser shafts all of us would probalbly like to run are cryogenically frozen as well. It pulls the molecules closer together making the structure stonger I would bet that it would help even a stock axle but why not save up for the moser's?

that stuff is not as cheap as you think its around $7 a pound. it would cost around $200 an axle which is about how much yukon axles are. the dana 60 yukon axle is around $250, but it take full snap rings instead of the c-clips an the axle joints and is 30% stronger than a spicer axle

the thing that breaks front axles is usually the u-joint, not the shaft

do you think i should just do the u joints only and put the other$ i was going to spend somewhere else in the project?

it's the ears for the u-joints that is weak so i would say save the money for a dana 60
