Well described Jason. You summed it up quite well. Maybe post those guidelines somewhere so that all newbies can read those.

The funny thing was i was with him when he got stuck the first time.... we were there till 11:30pm trying to get him moved from the first spot he was stuck in......When we were up there his starter went out. My toyota is all stock right now so i did the best i could....I only busted my rear u-joint and bent my steering trying to pull him out. but its no big deal......I kow that they have some spots of goat cloesd off with logs, holes and gates.....but dont know....

usually logs and boulders are last resort to keep people out. The forestry and private lumber companies dont like to do that because it costs money for manpower and equipment. But is less expensive than the damage to the roads/trails.

i figerd that. the easy way is to throw up some signs. but i have not seen ANY signs at goat. Promatory there are signs but have not seen one at goat. the only thing i saw at goat was the other day when i was up there was a Keep out sign for a road, there was some tree farm thing or something. so i just stayed away from it.....

ya got to look at it from their point of view. There is alot of land up there and as they see it, they didnt give permission to use it. It would be like walmart putting a sign on every isle that says dont steal from this isle, it is already known not to steal.
But yes I agree with you, there would be alot less people in the wrong spot with a couple strategicly placed signs that read "stay on marked roads" or something like that.
