ahh i dont need help when i go wheeling oh, you dont need help? okay, i'll remember that the next time you call me at 8.30 at night to come bail your out of an illegal wheeling area with my dad's truck (a FORD none the less), then give you a full can of gas instead of saving that for my race truck. lol. i only do that for few people, and all of those people are in poorboy. yeah, you dont need help, kiddo. not when it comes to wheeling, but when it comes to thinking ahead. some advice; stay out of illegal areas. and surely dont get stuck or break down in one.

u can wheel were the truck was last i ment at weatland There is not a designated ohv area in the mt hood national forest for trucks especially on goat mountain! They want to put an area in but not on goat it'll be at D-flats. You can however drive on marked unimproved roads, as long as there aren't any gates closed.

You can only "wheel" on unimproved "marked" roads.

Hmmm. Unimproved "marked" roads..
I wonder if Pumpkin ridge road would be quilified as that. Man it use to be a fun road, but I thought it was closed now for 4x4's..
This is up north side of HW 26 kinda by banks - (not really)..

I remember when I was driving the roads at Browns camp and broke down. Man did it suck. I wish I has someone up there with me...
I hate wheeling alone.

It's just standard policy for any offroader: DON'T WHEEL ALONE! I have known that since I turned 16, and I usually was the one riding in the middle. Lol.

Did you get upset and delete yourself?
I wasn't at either recoveries but looks like you got some real nice people to come out and spend their time and money helping ya get your rig out. Sounds like they may even had helped ya get out of some illegal spots which could have got them in trouble just as much as you.
Dont get upset when good people lend a hand and a lil advice, not just about wheeling alone but not wheeling where you shouldn't be and not leaving anything(trash) behind when your done. Poorboys are passionate about wheeling and doing it the correct way. Nobody here claims to know everything or have never done anything wrong but nobody here should be doing wrong intentionaly. We are very patient and willing to let people learn at their pace but not at our expense weather that means our name or persons.
I'm not here to hold anyones hand or scold anyone. I am not anyones keeper here, nore is anyone else here. However we work hard to get a good name with the public and the state of Oregon. We cannot do actions that are detrimental to our sport or name.
This is not a personal attack toward you but just a lil info of why people may have seamed upset.
Here are a few things you need to ask yourself. 1. do you love wheeling? 2. do you only wheel where you think is legal? 3. can you accept advice from someone that is only trying to help? 4. do you like hanging out with great people that would go out of their way to help you?
if you said yes to all the questions then your in the right place.
I do think enough people have posted up to say you were wrong when you wheeled at wheatland ferry, so dont need any more people posting up that.
I still am not sure what the exact rules are on goat mountain but am sure the marked road rule applies and no more needs to be said on that.
wheeling alone, you all know all about that so no more needs said there.
if you got any questions feel free to pm me if you like.
