Just a quick reminder for folks, Hogsback Trail (#18 on the OHV guide) Workparty is occurring on October 22nd at 9:00am. Anyone is welcome, we'll be digging into the rock staged at the top of the trail. Our main objective is to harden waterbars and trail tread. Folks will want to think about bringing something to haul rock. ODF will have an excavator, 1-6x6, and a rock hauler to assist with the workparty. What to bring: Proper Protective Equipment (boots, work cloths, eye protection, gloves, etc.), water and some snacks or lunch. Tools needed form moving rock: Shovel, Bent Shovel, Hoe, or Pulaski, or anything you may have to disperse/dig material. Equipment needed: MC's, quads, or 4WDs that maybe able to haul rock. If someone would like to bring a excavator or skid steer please contact me first. How to get there: We'll meet at the West-end of the trail. Take Hwy6 just past milepost 28 and turn left onto South Fork Rd. Follow South Fork Road to Lyda Camp OHV staging. Go up the hill through Lyda Camp and turn right onto C-Line Road. Follow C-Line Road uphill staying left tell you get to the top of ridge and you'll see us parked. oregon.gov/ODF/TSF/ohv_trailmap.shtml Hope to see yea there, Kelly Foster OHV Program Coordinator Tillamook State Forest (503) 359-7463 Fax: (503) 357-4548 kfoster@odf.state.or.us
