Finally got my '73 going, running 36in Swampers with no lift. Took it into the lower field and tried the bog. Just a "little" deep, pushed up mud from the bottom. Had fun getting it unstuck using my Ranger.

The bog is about 4 1/2 to 5 foot deep last time somons stood in it. And that was before the flooding totally filled it up. One end is really steep, makes for a real battle to climb out of it.

My worst stuck just happened to be my first stuck. I had been wanting to see where this particular trail went for quite some time. A friend finally decided to come wheelin', so I made my first attempt. I took it at a nice steady speed, and got high centered. Turning the wheel left and right while rocking back and forth I managed to get free. Then I decided more speed was needed to make it over. After backing up about 20 feet I stabbed the throttle and dumped the clutch going for a bonzai run. The front end dipped down then climbed right up, and the frame smacked right down on top of the crest. Nothing I could do would get me moving anywhere, the front and rear suspension was at full-droop barely contacting the ground. This was as far as I could open my door: And the spot during the day: Sorry for all the pics, I tend to get 'picture happy' sometimes. lol Charlie

Yeah that policy of hitting the gas when you get stuck has caused me to roll a rig in the past. Though it looked cool, the cracked rib really sucked.
