Hi everyone. I'm new to 4-wheeling, thanks to my hubby who introduced me to the fun and mud. Wanted to let ya'll know that I'm quite the newbie with very little actual knowledge about how a 4x4 vehicle works and is put together. I know a lot about parts, but not exactly where they go or what they go to or with, lol.

Welcome, we all started where you are in our knowledge about trucks and stuff so don't be afraid to ask questions about something if your husband doesn't want to answer. Hope to see you on the trail soon.

Thanks for the welcome. My hubby's my mentor on this project along with my bro-in-law. Both know more than I do as far as what I can and cannot do to a vehicle and make it work. If they don't know, well, I know my hubby asks alot of questions on this site and everyone here has been awesome in answering his questions or making suggestions. So I'll definitely let you know if there is a question they can't answer.

Thanks Jason. So far all I've done is mess up my montero enough that I realized that I had to have a vehicle that won't matter if it gets a few dings or not, so my hubby gave me a ranger project so I think I'll be able to learn alot and have a lot of fun doing it too.

Thanks for the welcome. Hey bro-in-law...dents are great but not on a 2003, tho it did better than the creepers I went out with and continually shocked my future son-in-law that it could go where he could, ;D. Maybe after I pay it off, I'll really modify it to handle a few dents and bruises. Give it that real redneck feel.

Thanks Brooke...Shane for the welcome...
We have most of what we need (mostly free to cheap) to build up the Ranger except the conversion. Research has found us a few good choices and I hope to have it ready by spring. If I get too desperate for mud, well my Montero loves the mud and snow so I can always take that. Not sure how my hubby's creeper will do in snow but I enjoyed going over the "firebreak" trail in it with him. Any ideas on mods for the Ranger are very much appreciated.
