This is super early in the process as I just drug it home last night... but I do have a plan and it will be executed... The rig right now was obtained for cheap off of Craigslist because it doesn't have O/D (solenoid or something in the valve body, probably not a big deal...), the interior has issues, and the spider gears or whole rear axle need replaced (likely the ring/pinion has an issue with the clunking it does, but we shall see)
Now to the plan, here's the big changes I have planned for it: -Flip the rear axle to spring over, wheel spacers added to convert to 5 on 5.5 pattern -Rip out the SLA front suspension and replace with a TTB D44 out of an F150 or Bronco, while building things make the radius arms longer than stock. -replace the steering rack for a steering box of some form (I think Ranger and full size is the same box) and build a swing set type of steering setup. -replace the AWD transfer case with a manual unit from a full size
It'll be nice wheeling in style, it might seem a bit odd that my most hard core wheeling rig will be my newest model year...
