Anyone made their own setup bearings. If so what did you use? I ground on an old carrier bearing for awhile and it's a PITA. And it still doesn't slip on.

use a cut-off wheel and make 1 cut through the old bearing

use a cut-off wheel and make 1 cut through the old bearing Buzzer I'm not sure what you mean. I'm trying to grind the inside of the old carrier bearings so I can slip them on and off to set up the shims on the spool and new gears for my D60.

I made a set it takes for ever to grind them out, spent like an hour grinding on them and they still fit a bit tight.
I used a flap wheel.

I took a set of bearings and used the die grinder in them for a bit then cleaned them up with some folded up sand paper i stuck in a large cotter pin and then chucked up in the drill.
