Alright my brother has a dodge truck it has the 5.2 it's like an early 90's but his truck gets a wild hair up it's ass and he said when hes driving and let's off the gas to slow down at like a stop light sometimes it's sputters down and dies, an the check engine light comes on.
Any ideas?
I have no Idea what'd cause it other than the fuel map with the MAF sensor not reading I dont know. To new for me

Few years off but my 97 5.9 did the same thing till I found out the the internal seal on the intake was toast. So check for vacuum leaks.

Thats what we were thinking the air cleaner box is crack to crap and none of the main vacuum lines are cracked but the one coming from the valve cover has a small crack in it but it shouldn't make it die just run funny

That is the exact problem mine had with the intake. I still have my replacement that I machined all the runners and divider ready for the hughes kit if anyone is interested.

My scanner is roasted so I can't run code but he might be able to run it to autozone or something to run a diagnostics on it
