Right now it is completely stock first thing I am planning on doing is installing locking hubs. These auto hubs suck. How do y'all suggest on liftin her too fit some 33s? Cheap but effective is what I'm looking for. Any suggestions on the rig at all appreciated not too familiar with these. Thanks y'all 91runner

Mine has a combo of a ranco lift and explorer springs and shackles with a 3 inch body lift. I also swapped in the explorer axles. The 8.8 and the Dana 35. The d35 was a direct bolt it, about a days worth of work, but the 8.8 will take some fab work.

Anything over stock size tires and you will eventually blow that dana 28 lol.... cheap you say...33s.... sawzall and the right offset.. I've done it, not pretty but works. Your also going to be looking at a crappy crawl ratio with the hopefully at least 3.73 gears
Or a 3" body lift... simple cheap easy..hate em but yea

body lift is cheap, add with some fender trimming and they should fit ok, the rear is where you run into issues because there isn't that much room to trim in some ways (On a Bronco II, more room on a Ranger). Like said, the D28 won't survive well, I was surprised how mine survived although I didn't wheel much and always just had the 4 cylinder, and I was hardest on it in the sand... like said, D35 is a easy swap and has the same U joints as a Dana 44.
If you don't want to go with a body lift, you can put Explorer coils up front (I have a pair if you need some) and get about 2" lift then just align it, and you can get a couple inches lift with chevy drop shackles (like belltech 6400) or used explorer 4 door leaf springs ('91-01), then add a body lift on top of that and you should be good. The only other option is a full suspension lift which can be a pain since it involves grinding a bunch of rivets out, and they're expensive unless you find a good deal on a used lift

I found the cheapest way to get a capable wheeler out of an RBV is to get rid of the TTB all together. It probably cost me around 600 total to build my truck suspension wise Dana 30 with Y-link up front and Eb Coils/ buckets, 63" chevies, 2" block and belltech 6400 shackles, Explorer 8.8, and some trimming, factory T-case and I made the drivelines myself will clear 35's but I always ran 33's. it took some time as I just sat on parts until I found everything for a good deal. Bought an explorer for 400 and made all my money back parting out out to get the 8.8, bought a cherokee shell with axles for 50 etc. It's in stage 2 as we speak however; Dana 44, 14 bolt, 302 etc. -Craig BTW I believe I have a full set of D28 locking hubs if you are still looking, Let me know if you do and I'll go check, come pick them up and they're yours
