Years ago I had old buckshots that I had a tire place put "Paddle scopes" on them. They turned out alot like bogger tires though and not like true paddle tires. The problem with them were they were just to skinny and not flexable enough to work good in the sand. They did work great in the mud and snow but I would not recommend them in the sand. I have since sold them.
It depends on how much sand driving you really do. Boggers work pretty good in the sand and I'm not sure you will get much better preformance out of a normal sand tire, unless you spend the big $$ and get some rippers or super scopes.

I have drooled looking at this site several times powerproracingproducts.com On my jeep for SB this year, I plan on having my (SAND TIRES UNLIMITED) 15x15 (33" 10 paddle tires) on the back and 15x15 (33") racing slicks on the front. I am wondering if they will work any better then my 39.5 TSL's that are 15x14.5.. I guess we will only know after I give them a try...

A lot has to do with air pressure even with paddle tires. I run 14.5 x 33 eliminator paddles on my jeep and there's a big difference between 15psi and 5psi which was the same difference on the TJ when I had 11.50 X 32's.
Keven, if your looking for Terra's make sure you get 2 ply and not the heavier duty 6 or 8 ply tires. Squishy tires make a big difference too.

yea i have found SDHQ that has toyo tires that they are buffing off and putting super scoops on them but they are like 1400 bucks for 2 and for that much i could just go and buy a set of used 38.5 boggers and have someone race cut them and not worry about the paddels ripping off or not working that good, I really didnt think paddles would cost so much money.

Running 39.5's then going to a 33" paddle tire really only works if you were under geared with the 39.5's we ran 33" paddles on my old mans rig at sand lake and he normally runs 42's and was geared for them and the paddles were useless cause you put it in drive and it would tach out the big block instantly it seemed like at a whopping 35 mph. put the 42's on and we were much happier. could actually get some wheel speed to climb

i havent read your build thread i dont know the spec's of your rig(because their is none) but the few times i ran boggers in the sand i felt my all-terrains worked alot better. i have seen paddles on cl for a good price, if i were to buy paddles it would either be a 16.50 or 20.00 poorboy did have some cut 35" boggers for sale
