Anyone know a good (trusted) place to get a TH350 transmission rebuilt? I did some research on these transmissions and there's a lot of different performance tricks and upgrades that can be done, but I'm not sure just what would be best for my race Jeep. I'm a little skeptical with some tranny shops and I've heard some tranny shops put used parts in and charge for new parts.

Best place I know of is here in Canby. Its called Canby Transmission. I've had 3 TH350 rebuild there and have never had an issue with any one of them. Will go there again if ever needed.

Weird, one of the ones I had rebuilt was in my old 75 suburban, then the one in my 69 camaro drag car then in my dads old suburban. All of which are still running strong.

The issue I had was not the work they did, but what they didn't do. It was a Blazer with a 700R4. They said that they had a tranny on the shelf that they would swap mine with for around $750. They called a couple days latter and had tore my tranny apart and wanted to charge almost $1500. I think they didn't use the one on the shelf because it was for a S10 and they were not aware of it. I ended up taking my Blazer back with the tranny in pieces and had a friend finish it. My friend has health problems now and can't do the work anymore. I can not contest whether or not they do good work, it's just one of those things that creates trust problems with shops. This happened about 15 years ago. A lot of things usually change over years, but it's still hard to go back after not being treated right.

Performance drivetrain in newberg. Paul miller does a great job, I've never had a problem with the work they've done for me and the price is right to. They do everything from mild overhaul to full comp.

Thanks of the replies. I been researching the TH350 rebuild with performance upgrades on line and also picked up Ron Sessions Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 Handbook. The TH350 seems to be one of the easiest automatic rebuilds, so I'm going to try and tackle this myself.
