Yep.. I joined the others with a new tow rig. I hope I get better fuel milage and it will last a long, long time. Specs: 6.6 turbo diesel. Edge power programmer, K@N intake, Banks 4" duel exhaust, spray in bed liner, larger tires, 16” wheels, running boards. Leather interior. All power options. Mileage - More then I want to talk about. Cost- Arm and a Leg.. Tried to trade the wife and kids but he knew better.

what do you need a tow rig for. . .lol j/k nice rig I see your point because I have a JEEP and all and they never brake down ;D Really... We are planing on getting a bigger toy hauler trailer for our quads. Something like what cousinMike just got. This is when we can afford it. Until then it should get better mileage then our Suburban gets. We will see if it is cheaper with the cost of diesel V.S. gas.

nice looking rig! I like the look of the front of gmc's a little more than the chevy's I have the allison behind my 8.1 big block (aka gas sucker) I have been very impressed with the trans when towing so you should love it behind that D-max!

Well after two tanks of fuel. I have to say I am not impressed with the mileage, and it's one of the reasons we spent more $$ on it. First tank was 11.7 mpg average according to doing the trip meter divided by gallons used. That was around town. Second tank was pulling out trailer down to sand lake and back for the day… It still turned out to way low. 11.3 MPG. Sure it has plenty of power, but it should be getting better mileage then that! The edge power controller was set to (2) tow haul, and the tow haul light was on the dash for the tranny.

If you can I'd just turn that tuner off for a tank and see where your at.

Yes it's got a "stock" mode. I put it in that mode at the fuel station after double checking the mileage. I'm also looking on line trying to figure out why it could be getting that type of MPG's. We have not been hammering it all the time or anything. As a matter of fact we were really easy on the throttle when putting the trailer because I wanted to see what type of mileage we were getting...
