Ok so I just got a 1974 chevy sb 4x4, and the guy said it has a part time kit in it. But the thing is I have never seen one like it, it is cable operated. If anyone has ever seen one like this could you please post up.Thanks . Sorry for the bad cell phone pics.

i did a quick google search... seems they make kits.... but couldn't find nothing like this lol.... looks too good to be a homemade job.. but definitely different

That's what I kinda figured.
what ever it is, it works, I just don't know anything about it. I might take a look inside, when I pull the trans/case.

I think I'll hold onto it. since it works, and it's in there.
But I do plan to check it out, and see how it works, and what the condition of the internals are like.

I have seen one other one like that, so I believe they were a small parts run from a machineshop.

I've never seen one like it before. Like some said, it looks to nice to be home made but if it were mass produced I think we could find it on the internet. I did a little searching and came up with nothing. I'm glad it works, but like you said.. I would look it over.
