I mounted the steering ram, built high steer arms, built and installed rear drive line and tranny cross member/belly pan. Replaced the rear disc brakes that I robbed for my suburban and have started to plumb in the brake lines. I am planning on getting started on the cage work soon but I burned up all of my tube on an cherokee project that came up. Should have more tube this week some time. I'm trying to decide how I want to do the cage in the mean while..... I might bring it to the woodys cruise in?

skid plate/cross member(sorry for phone pics) Rear drive line ram and mount steering arm Cherokee cage project. Hoops on the side are to hold the spare tire. The square in the center/ bottom is to hold the factory fuel tank. It's not finished... Notice the interior bars that tie into the exo.

The master cyl. is an FJ with a 1" bore. The problem I had was finding a reservor for it. We baught the master new from Baxters and it of course didn't come with the res. We hunted all over the wrecking yard and got several that looked like they might work. the one we wound up with was off of a ford. 4 wheel disc and no proportioning valve. It stops REALLY good!!! Ya the kids are getting big. 7 and 4. They both hound me about driving now. Soon I'll be riding in the back seat all the time...

Works good. The RTI ramp in the pix is the same ramp that was used at the woodys cruise in. I was able to drive all the way over the top. Gotta figure out a trac bar for the front. It also needs lower gearing for the rocks. Thinking we need gears in the transfer and 4 link in the front. The rear toyota springs in the front wrap too much and max the u joint out, when heavy wheel hopping. We are looking into some semi truck suspention parts that are afordable for the links.
