I do my own drive lines usually. The front drive line isn't as crucial as the rear, as far as balancing and straitness.(no freeway speeds) just grind the weld off at one end untill it separates. Make sure you leave the step in the end piece where it fits into the tube. Then you cut the tube as straight as possible. A chop saw works great. Tap it together. Roll it on a flat surface to check for straitness and weld it good and hot.
