so finally talked the wife into letting me build a designated wheeler so this is where it starts, 75 jeep cherokee chief, buddy of mine bought it for the motor and trans, im getting it free. bought a parts truck last night for motor trans and axle so to start out i will have a 75 cherokee with a sbc chev, turbo 400/205 and a 14 bolt and d44, i already have some lift springs so im gonna use them and the cut to fit tires if i need to, im planning on getting the 37" toyos from tomota on bead locks and i will probably just lincoln lock the axles for now heres a couple pics i have so far to get started with i will actually have it home this saturday and probably start swappin axles and lifting it then put motor trans and t-case in, kinda lookin like im going to need another motor since the one that came in the donor truck didnt do to well on the way home but if its a cheap fix then i will be running a 400/400/205 setup

REALLY STREIGHT!!!! Should be fun to do some tree hugging. LOL Should make for a good wheeler. The full size axels with hummer wheels should be a good fit.

cant really see it but there is a little damage to the driver rear quarter panel and bumper and a little dig over the passenger side tire but it will get much more once i get it up and going. REALLY STREIGHT!!!! Should be fun to do some tree hugging. LOL Should make for a good wheeler. The full size axels with hummer wheels should be a good fit. dont really have the money to get a hummer wheel setup right now which is why im gonna get tomotas beadlocks at least for now till i can afford to upgrade

Have you seen mine? this IS a very clean start. Even if you run a fairly narow wheel you will fit the trails and have a nice stable stance. If the tires stick out a bit it usualy saves you from the tree and rock rash too. It just makes you leed to do more to keep from getting tickets...

the ones in it? If I remember correct some of these had posi or limiteds in them. Worth some time to check before you just yank em.

trailer or tow bar but it will not be a street machine or at least i do not plan for it to be. still working on my hauler so it will be trailer for now. my hauler is a 55 first series 2 ton that used to be owned by 7up and had a huge bottle rack bed on it but will be a flat deck when im done and i will use it to haul to and from the trails
