39700010 (i think ,last two numbers kinda buggered up , last number could be a 9 or 0 ) {back}

with out looking it up the rear block number is what ya need. It looks like ya have an 010 block. They came in 2 and 4 bolt mains. They are suppose to be of good quality(made with good material).

"TXB" is the suffix code used to designate where the engine was installed and some other options. It was used as: Code..Year..CID..Vehicle..HP..RPO..Trans...Carb.Comments TXB....75....350.Truck...160..LS-9.Manual.4-Brl..C-20 & C-30 TXB....76....350.Truck...165..LS-9.TH 350.4-Brl..C-20 & C-30 TXB....77....350.Truck...165..LS-9.TH 350.4-Brl..C-20 & C-30 "3970010" is the casting number that gives a more generic description. Casting Number.CID........Year....HP...........Comments 3970010............302/350.69-79.145-370..car & Truck 2 & 4-Bolt Most common I got all of this from www.chevymania.com/Charlie
