Alright Guys i need some help big time. I have a 51 willys jeep, tons of rust of course. I am thinking of replacing the body with fiberglass. I want something durable, and easy to cut in half and lengthened. I have been looking at JC Whitney tubs. But I dont know squat. Or better yet, is there anybody who can get me a pre lengthened tub?? After looking at my pics you can see why I need some help.

Wow the rust ate right threw the rear 1/4 panel .. Maybe a scrambler body? If not the panels that need to be lengthened appear to be flat and easily built and welded in? BTW thats a badass looking ride

I would avoid fiberglass. It doesnt bend on the trail it breaks.

Isnt it amazing the way that those old willys Just rusted out. Luckily the quaterpanels rusted in a nice squar shape. Unfortuanately the passenger floor is completely gone. I had heard fiberglass had a tendancy to crack if the frame flexed, I was hoping my frame was rigid after I got the cage in, but I suppose it will still flex a little. I thought about getting a scrambler body but I dont want to give up the willys look, It has sedimental value. I cant afford a Steel tub replacement though. I had a body guy who was going to do all this for me, I paid him cause he was trying to get out of a contract at his shop, and into another one. Then he ended up in jail a month ago, and I am pretty sure Im screwed. WOuld skinnin my jeep out be a bad way to go?? I have put it aside because I didnt think it would work good for a daily driver if i did that.
