My sister-in-law has a suburu wagon... suppoosly the cv axle is going and she thinks it would be earier to replace the hole front end instead of just the cv axle... is the cv axle that hard to replace... I don't know if that is the problem I have not seen it yet but she thinks she knows every thing when she does not know s][it ...

If it goes knock, knock, knock real fast when you are turning, then it's the CV joint. They aren't that hard to replace and the axle should be available through the local parts store. If that is the only problem, I would definately replace the axle and not the whole front end.

That is what I think but you can tell her anything... She says suburu's are different then any other car out there... so I thought I would throw out the question and see if I am as stupid as she seems to think I am... Just wondering is any one has done it on a suburu... I have done a cv swap on more cars then I can count but I done remember doing one on a suburu... I don't see how it can be much different... she is not asking me to do it she is asking my wife to help her... I can't wait to see this it will be a good laugh Then wait for her to come beging for help... its happened before she won't ask me after she scwews it up she will get my wife to ask... not this time she will have to ask her self...

subarus are way different. but replacing the cv axles isnt brain surgery.. why would you ever want to replace an entire front end when only the cv's are bad
