You're talking about a reverse correct? Putting the shackle on the opposite end of the spring?
If so, then I have read articles that do nothing but praise such modifications. It equates to a smoother handling rig on the hiway cause the shackle is now going in the right direction, and its better for steering too, since you're not directing the steering force through two sets of bushings, only one and its solidly mounted.
Watch out though, cause under flex, your tire will now move toward the cab, not away, so you may have clearance issues if you have a flexy rig and big tires and you don't move your axle forward.

I bought the shackle flip from sky. I might put it in tomorrow if it is dry enough. It shouldnt affect your driving really at all. It will give you a better pinion angle. Once I have mine on and drive it, i'll let you know. My rig is a DD as well.

I just cut a hole in the stock shackle mounts, and dropped the shackle through, works fine on and off road,
